ADDRESS - Towards the smart grids of the future ADDRESS is a large-scale Integrated Project co-founded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme, in the Energy area for the "Development of Interactive Distribution Energy Networks". Home Systems Since 1993 Home Systems leads the spanish market of home & building automation, with more than 30.000 automated homes, a network of more than 150 partners, and strategic alliances with big players such as Endesa or Prosegur. Manufacturer and distributor in Spain of technologies such as X-10®, Xanura®, Ecobox®, Eyetouch®, Vity® and Teletask®.
Elma Kurtalj Elma Kurtalj Ltd. is an engineering and R&D company with strong logistic capabilities. In all projects we combine our engineering capabilities with excellent logistic support to delivery solutions and services including in the areas of ICT for buildings infrastructure as well Buildings Management Systems (BMS) based on open protocols (Lonworks, Modbus, Bacnet, KNX). In addition, we are delivering complete electrical and intelligent building infrastructure from basic design to total deployment. All our solutions are fully based on open protocol system paradigm.
GAD Project - Gestion Activa de la Demanda GAD, a consortium of fifteen Spanish enterprises and fourteen research centres, led by IBERDROLA DISTRIBUCIÓN ELÉCTRICA S.A.U., is putting forward a research project to the Ministry of Science and Innovation, intended to optimise electricity consumption for medium and low-voltage consumers, through innovative Demand Side Management mechanisms.
The ultimate aim of the GAD Demand Side Management Project is to optimise electrical energy consumption and the costs associated, while meeting consumer needs and maintaining quality standards.
HYDRA - Middleware for networked devices The Hydra project is a 4-year Integrated Project that develops middleware for Networked Embedded Systems. The Hydra project is co-funded by the European Commission.
The NEM Initiative - European Technology Platform on Networked Electronic Media Networked and Electronic Media (NEM) is one of the European industrial initiatives, also known as Technology Platforms, established by major key European and global stakeholders. NEM addresses the convergence of media, communications, consumer electronics, and IT as a wide opportunity for future growth, by taking advantage of generalized broadband access, increased mobility, availability of richer media formats and contents, as well as new home networks and communications platforms. SmartHouse/SmartGrid The SmartHouse/SmartGrid project sets out to validate and test how
ICT-enabled collaborative technical-commercial aggregations of Smart
Houses provide an essential step to achieve the needed radically higher
levels of sustainability and energy efficiency in Europe. It develops a
holistic concept for smart houses situated and intelligently managed
within their broader environment. Intelligent networked ICT technology
for collaborative technical-commercial aggregations enables Smart Houses
to communicate, interact and negotiate with both customers and energy
devices in the local energy grid so as to achieve maximum overall energy
efficiency as a whole. eDIANA - Embedded Systems for Energy Efficient Buildings eDIANA (Embedded Systems for Energy Efficient Buildings) addresses the need of achieving energy efficiency in buildings through innovative solutions based on embedded systems.
iHomeLab at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences The iHomeLab is the Swiss research laboratory and think tank for smart homes and building automation. The iHomeLab research team performs research under the direction of Prof. Alexander Klapproth in the areas of Smart Metering, Load Management, Human Building Interaction, Energy Consumption Visualization, Ambient Awareness, Indoor Localization, Ambient Assisted Living, Home Network Technologies, Web Enabled Devices, Internet of Things and Embedded Plug & Play Technologies. Research projects are developed in close cooperation with commerce & industry partners and focus on developing next generation homes and buildings that are more energy efficient, comfortable, and safe. Research results and innovative products of the partners are demonstrated to the public within the iHomeLab.
